Aurora Borealis

Harmadszorra is láttam sarki fényt!!! Ahogy azt korábban reméltem, most már le is sikerült fényképezni, bár sajnos nem a leglátványosabbat, mivel akkor még nem volt nálam a fényképező. Pedig az egész eget beborította! Nem hittem, hogy valaha ilyen délről lesz részem ennyire csidálatos látványban! Szerencsére egész este gyönyörködhettünk benne, így volt időm később néhány képet készíteni róla. 

Tudom, egy állvány jól jönne, meg egy olyan gép is, ami még teljes mértékben funkcionál, de most ez van, úgy ezzel kell beérnetek. :)

Azt hiszem inkább beszéljenek a képek!

I've seen northern lights again!!! And this time I managed to take some pictures as well, even though not from the peak activity - first I was outside without camera...It was amazing! Covered the whole sky! I couldn't believe that I'm so lucky that we could see it from so south. And it lasted long so I could go back more prepared and shoot some pictures later!

They are not the best, without tripod and fully working camera, but I'm still really happy that I managed take them! :)

Szentpétervár, ami még kimaradt - The rest of SP

Az első héten a kurzus kész vicc volt! 3-szor volt óránk. Az első bevezető, kb fél óra ami angolul zajlott. Kedden a már említett gyakorlat (4 óra), majd pedig a kiselőadások. Ketten adtunk elő mindössze, úgyhogy fél óra alatt ismét végeztünk. A második héten napi 4-5-6-4 órákat voltunk, és sokkal értelmesebben töltöttük, egész sok minden újdonság volt számomra.

A szabadidőmet kezdetben unatkozással, majd inkább CS találkozókkal töltöttem. 3-an voltam, az utolsó napon pedig kicsit várost néztünk (végre láttam a szfinxeket) és a belga stoppos srácot, aki kipróbálta az ice-swimminget, persze szauna nélkül, és szerencsére túlélte :)

A múlt hét újdonsága: egy átlagos orosz CS srác (orvos?), miután mondtam, hogy magyar vagyok, felcsillant szemmel mondta, hogy két dolgot tud Magyarországról. A népi hangszert, a dorombot, és azt, hogy nálunk még mindig vannak sámánok!
Legalább nem mindenki a szokásos dolgokat (Budapest, Balaton, Sziget fesztivál) emlegette. :)

Annak ellenenére, hogy az elején teljesen ki voltam bukva a körülmények miatt, a végén élveztem ezt a két hetet.

The first week of the course was...almost nothing. We had that few lectures I mentioned and we had to make presentation. Me and one girl made only, we presented, in half an hour, and that was all... Nice.. No problem that others didn't prepare. The second week was much better, lot of lectures, 4-5-6-4 hours a day, plus report preparation and one more presentation. The teacher had good English and he was really nice. I learned some new things as well, and I wasn't totally bored.

On the afternoons, to avoid doing nothing, I went few times to take pictures and to plenty of CS meeting, and some sightseeing (finally seen the sphinx but nothing new) and observing a Belgian hitchhiker do ice-swimming without sauna. And luckily he survived. :)
The other interesting part of the meetings that what others know about Hungary. The most surprising when one of the Russian guys (who is a doctor or so) told me happily that he knows two things about Hungary. One (ancient!!!) folk instrument and that we still have 'sámán's. I really don't know how Russians got these type of information. At least it was not only the typical things like Budapest, Balaton and Sziget festival they knew. :)

Despite at the beginning I hated  the conditions and being bored, by the end I really enjoyed staying in SP and had a lot of fun thanks to CSs!
